At minimum, define silhouette, key measurements, fabric, colors, branding, labels and packing. Original development should translate inspiration into your own product specification rather than copying another brand.
How Are MOQ and Sample Costs Decided?
MOQ depends on style, fabric, color, trims and customization. Sample charges reflect pattern work, material, construction and special processes. Ask what the sample charge includes and whether revisions, freight or custom trims are separate.
Low-MOQ branding on existing styles and full custom production are different services. Compare them by development control, not only by unit price.
How Should Quality Be Approved?
Approve a physical sample, measurement chart, fabric and color reference, artwork and packing instructions before bulk production. Define tolerances and important performance checks for the product category.
Bulk inspection can cover measurements, workmanship, shade, logo, labels, quantity and packaging. Agree how defects and discrepancies will be documented and resolved before the order starts.
What Should I Know About Payment and Shipping?
Confirm currency, payment schedule, quotation validity, trade terms, bank details and documents in the purchase agreement. Verify any account change through a known contact to reduce payment fraud risk.
Production lead time and transit time are separate. Clarify shipping method, destination, duties, import responsibility and whether the quotation includes freight. Buyers should obtain local customs advice for their market.
How Do Repeat Orders Work?
Keep the style code, approved sample, pattern version, fabric reference, color, size chart, artwork and packaging files. A repeat order should identify any change rather than assuming the supplier will infer it.
Material and trim availability can change over time. Confirm current stock, minimums and lead time before promising a restock date to customers.
